Experience
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Literature and Education from the University of California. I also have certifications in adult education, ESL, and Spanish as a foreign language. I've also received BCLAD accreditation in multiple subjects which simply means I have proven to the state that I am able to teach equally well in both English and Spanish. As a bilingual classroom I have taught elementary and middle school classes. As a tutor I prefer to teach students individually or in a small group setting. When I'm teaching I typically have thirty or more students and this has clearly shown me the need and benefit of teaching smaller groups. The more individual attention an educator is able to give a student the easier it is to learn about that student's specific strengths, weaknesses, and academic needs. Once these things are known it is far easier to reach a student and help them achieve their educational potential.I find that my most rewarding students have been those who have struggled the most in an academic setting. I enjoy helping these students realize they have the same potential as their peers and then watching as they begin to far exceed their previously limiting beliefs.
