Hobbies:

I am a stay at home mother to my 2 year old son. I have played softball since age 5 and received a full scholorship to Paris Jr college as a pitcher. I was only able to play 1 year because of a knee injury bit I love the game and now play adult slow pitch.
I love learning and I love school, so for me tutoring is exciting. My goals as a tutor are to build confidence, increase understanding, give step by step methods to solve difficult problems, and make learning fun in order to prevent boredom.

I am a very patient and encouraging teacher and I can help your child in Math. I currently teach high school Math in Garland ISD. I am most familiar with the curricula of Geometry, Math Models, Algebra I and Algebra II, although I can also teach some of the higher level Maths.

I have extensive experience with the Math TAKS test, specifically the Exit Level. And I am also skilled in using hands-on activities and manipulatives to help the students who are more tactile/visual learners. I also have a lot of experience with tutoring one-on-one.

I'm very nice and I usually don't have much trouble gaining the rapport and trust of a student. I can help with homework, or I can help them to learn things outside of Math class (like TAKS or more advanced Math).
